I decided to walk into town today to observe a public space. If you step off campus and walk down Main Street you will eventually run into the Dollar General. I decided to do the Dollar General to see how many college students and people in town really use this store. Before even entering the store there was a sign asking you to leave all book bags and totes with the cashier. As I entered I saw a 5 people deep line waiting to check out. Several of them looked like college students and some of them even were wearing Bloomsburg University apparel. As I walked through isles I took note of what people were doing. I first came across a black male who for some reason decided to carry all his belongings instead of using a cart. I continued to walk until I ran into a older lady who was looking at paper towels and also had a cart with multiple belongings. I also saw a younger looking white male, college aged, getting milk. I believe this store is very useful for college students. Its located within walking distance right off the campus. They have everything from food items to bathroom products, cleaning supplies, and office supplies. Over all I believe this place is filled with college students because of the great location and great prices.
